Finalist
I was thrilled to be among the 11 shortlisted artists for the London Graphics Centre x Theo Paphitis Art Prize 2024 with my painting ‘Flamingo Love’!
Even though I didn’t win a prize, to be a finalist out of over 800 entries felt like a huge achievement.
The awards ceremony which took place at their store in Covent Garden in central London, was a fabulous evening. I got to chat with Theo, who wasn’t the scary dragon he’s portrayed as on TV, and who said my painting looked as though it was ‘alive’.
I met so many lovely people, including judge and fellow artist Tom Croft, pictured below. Tom was a Samarivans artist, so it was great to get to finally meet him in person and say thank you!
A huge congratulations to the Judges Choice winner Robin Danely, the One to Watch winner Yasser Claude-Ennin, and the People’s Choice winner Ioana Elecfi. See them all here.
It’s a fantastic prize, I would urge any artist to take part next year, as it’s growing each year, and is well worth entering, especially as it’s free.
